em natural gas shortage/pipeline quality gas and syngas in its raw state as potentially produced by CNX are not quiet the same hence question above!.
CNX would need to demonstrate both scale of operation and commercial return for conversion to SNG and these things are massively capital intensive and only the Chinese are building coal to syngas to SNG and most/all are not commercial given the current gas price and will not be helped by the likely further downward pressure on city gate prices.
now if you are suggesting syngas to power to replace coal can understand the discussion
