A thought-provoking thread and all great posts.

IMO nuclear will come to Australia and be the mainstay around a net zero grid.

Reason is clear - demand will increase and renewables will never accommodate the demand and will fall further and further behind with time.

They do not want coal although we have sufficient coal to provide energy for hundreds of years. Gas will also provide less and less with time.

So, in reality, we only have nuclear to fall back on. And I think, and hope, that the nuclear power industry will always be owned by the Guvnuts. That is a separate argument for another thread.
