Hi guys,
I wouldn't call myself an impatient type. For example, among others I also hold SXY and am only now seeing this one bear fruit after holding for several years, enduring numerous delays and setbacks, not to mention capital raisings. Several other holdings are treading water for now but I have no gripes with their shareholder relations or management and I am sitting tight.
I am just starting to feel uneasy with the way IDC management appear to be disregarding the basic right of shareholders (ie., the owners of the company) to be kept up to date with what's going on, especially after promises made by Promnitz to communicate better with shareholders! This kind of image doesn't exactly lend itself to IDC becoming a market darling any time soon.
My experience with holding shares is that the less transparent management are with shareholders, the higher the risks that go with staying invested with that company. I bought in because I thought there was significant potential for IDC to be re-rated on the back of a significant resource at Mt Kare, but I'm starting to feel mistrustful of management. At 14c I'd take a small loss if I were to sell now, but there are a lot of other very promising share out there clamouring for the investor's dollar, so I'd be silly not to keep my eyes open.
Mr P I hope you're reading this and will respond publicly with a detailed market update on IDC's operations -- as it seems that you're not exactly rushing to reply to shareholder emails.
Rant over...
