That is the ACCC saying the gas price in the east is too high and they desperately need a gas discovery
East coast pay $9-12/GJ, the average in Australia is $7/GJ
People forget BPH once raised $20M and drilled this and ran to a $300M valuation. Unfortunately they drilled the wrong spot. But if you bought at the start you would have made 10 time your money. That was when BPH was worth $30M.
BPH is now worth less than $3M and about to drill the same gas deposit with higher gas prices.
If the government is screaming for gas then Advent is going to get the approval to drill.
Now if Advent gets approval to drill do you think there will be any shortage of big funders?
Santos spent a few $Bn in the area. BP and others are promising to explore for gas to ease prices.
$20Miln to find 6TCF or $6Bn worth of gas is nothing
Ignore the day to day moves. Give this 3 months.
If they get NOPTA approval and a funder the stock will be worth $30M just before drilling
