yep. There would be little to stop AVB from engaging in an agressive iron ore exploration program down the track if they wanted. They have some 2000sqkm of land holdings and there is iron ore on their ground. The first deal done with Vale is not a bad start. I don't think a lot of people understand just how hard it is to get a foot in the door here. This is some of the most prospective copper, iron ore and other mineral ground in the world. Good luck pegging anything there now. We are completely surrounded by the majors and have 2 deals done already with Xstrata and Vale on copper and iron ore. $20b worth of investment in this area can only enhance the value of their leases.
AVB has open season on numerous copper deposits now and who knows what else they may be sitting on. I see they have another copper target of some 7km in strike length that has yet to be even drilled out. There is no value for what they own, its more a matter of a sad market. This is where i see the longer term potential. It will take time but i can wait. dyor.
