Election 2016: Telstra wins contract to manage your health records

The decision to award the contract to Telstra Health is expected to involve the creation of a national screening register eventually incorporating results for all Australians who return positive screening tests for cervical and bowel cancer as well as records of vaccinations under the Human Papillomavirus Vaccination Program Register


And I thought this could have enormous implications for RAP.

What if, in the case of an endemic flu outbreak, that authorities could monitor the health and well- being of their populations via the use of RAP's mobile app. What better way than to stop the spread of, say, for example, an Asian flu outbreak,  if people could use their own  phone as a diagnostic tool.  Using your own phone would help contain the spread of disease as you keep it to yourself.  Customs/health officials could use this screening to isolate residents with contagious flu's and contain it more effectively than is currently used. The ideas are un-limited.

This is exciting stuff.  RAP, mobile health, screening, big players eg, Telstra, new ways of thinking, new methods, new ideas.........

RAP....this is just the beginning.
