In the coming weeks, the government should decide on an incentive in the order of billions of crowns for the establishment of a factory for batteries for electric cars in the Czech Republic. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport Karel Havlíček (ANO) in today's speech in the Chamber of Deputies before the vote on the distrust of the cabinet. In mid-March, the minister told Hospodářské noviny (HN) that the Czech government was negotiating a project with the German carmaker Volkswagen.
"In the coming weeks, we have to decide on support in the order of billions of crowns, which will go to the largest investment of this government, and that is Gigafactory - a factory for the production of batteries," Havlíček said today.
