OK I think I see where the difference is :) I'm talking about post consolidation "adjusted" prices and you are talking pre-consolidation prices. In that case then yes the share actual share price has never been higher than it is now.
So technically yes the sp has never actually been $4.00 it was 40c, but adjusted for 10:1 consolidation it is the *equivalent* of $4.00 (not withstanding what I said earlier about dilution).
The commsec chart adjusts the old prices by a factor of 10 so that the chart makes sense, otherwise at the date the consolidation happened it would appear that the shareprice had a massive rise!
