re: big opportunity imho-b2 Hi B2,

I like the logic but would express some caution that the capital rauising is being rumoured as being at as low as 80c. ie an AMP type senario.

I don't know this as fact though I stress!

Secondly, I'm not sure that with hindsight Guiness Peat would see their investment as having been timed that well though they obviously believed it was a bargain at the time and it must be even more so now.

Remember that they (GPG) may be limited by legislation to a maximum shareholding in this company according to what I have been told of 10%. This would have limited them in being able t do much other than watch as the price sank.

If this is not the case I would appreciate any info.

But either way they (and Rivkins subscribers) will be sitting on some reasonably nasty burns at this time which look likely to get worse before they get better.

I suppose the big take home message I'm getting from watching these string of mid-cap collapses is 1/ The first writedown is never the last, 2/ The second writedown is never the last either, and 3/ Just when you think things can't possibly get worse - suddenly they do.

Reference : ALL, AMP, LLC, SRP and TWR. :-)

    Cheers,
