they are divesting research programmes which are unlikely to produce returns and unlikely to produce clinical benefit

I guess thats my point. They fall in love with an asset and focus on it as long as the results keep coming. Sometimes, no matter how good your product is, it doesn't make the cut (for whatever reason).

Hopefully us mugs will be long gone if that ever happens to this one!
