Big Pharmas have huge balance sheets, large cash balances and looking to keep their product cycles going. I would not at all be surprised if someone makes a bid for MSB while the SP is languishing. Now is an excellent time as they can pump up a "market premium" which is really a huge discount to real value.
The CEO has a blocking stake but getting knocked around like during the last couple of weeks may make him a little more mellow about retiring.
