Both stocks should post hefty gains today, given BHP's drilling success in the Gulf of Mexico and the very strong rises both stocks experienced in London overnight.
Maybe a an advance indicator that commodity prices are in the increase and that. contrary to all the gloom and doom talk, economic recovery and a market bottom is not all that far away.
Buy in gloom is always a good motto - we may not be at bargain basement yet - but we could be near the lower ground floor.
Time to get hold of some bargains perhaps.
