Perhaps Rick an Gillian have margin loans in UMC and/or PDN and were forced to sell holdings in UMC to cover their a#%es.

If one was to argue that the above is highly unlikely, I would ask:

What are the chances Rick has invested in UMC?

Very strong I would say, especially given the fact that UMC is Phil's best performing stock to-date and has excellent potential to become a +5 bagger from its current level.

Either way, I standby my original thoughts that UMC's recent falls are in no way related from within, but due to outside pressures beyond its control.
