what it is a clear barometer for is for wild swings between opposing parties -
as I've said will become more and more the norm as change races ahead
People can't handle change - so when they have one mob in power and things are uncomfortable - they will swing to another mob -
and, they will swing regardless of policies, unless the policies are radical - because they have a fear of radical change - in fact what will be probably absent are policies - the political fights will be centred around 'how bad the other mob is'
that some parties will get into power - doesn't mean they aren't dead already - it just means that people will grasp at anything if they are drowning
One consistency seems to be in many nations - the almost relentless rise of green type politics - there's a consistency there - no matter if left is bashed or right is bashed - green, more often than not - rises. (not every time, but most times)
When you get the Greens performing well in a cowboy place like the NT - you know it's a force rising
