Peakmastery Sorry but you are wrong. The Record date is a record of who owns shares at the point in time hence the 7pm note because that is after adjustment of trade for that day. Its only open from 24th as the T+3 gets them to have a record. T+3 is the time it takes to reflect in the register as that is also settlement date which clears any default.
any way who cares - This is not a real windfall for anyone IMO. the margin and the fire has gone out of the share at the moment.
