boy1, t+3, you buy today and commit to settle in 3 days time - now most brokers expect you to have the $'s sitting in your a/c today because if you can't settle in 3 days time then they're up for the money, however if you're a rich, long-term client that might not be the case. Different to buying a house where you put up a deposit on buying and settle in the future and lose your deposit if you can't.
