I was looking for a micro cap speccie explorer/developer to put about 15% of my $$$ in to. I shortlisted CXO, PIO, AUZ, AON, FND and TNR amongst others and ended up settling on ARD. My criteria was a mixed weighting of cash balance to market cap ratio, technical risk, near term development or exploration program catalysts, quality of board of directors and upside potential. I have patiently accumulated ARD over the last few months at an average of 2.2c. With today's news of drilling commencing this week the SP is 3c as I write which is a tidy 35% gain. I'm holding firm and holding on the potential of the drilling campaign. Given ARD is only 15% of my portfolio I am willing to risk a possible 50% capital loss if drilling disappoints for the potential reward of many multiples of the SP to the upside if drilling hits the goods.
