Agreed Dirt - I'm back in a big way on AKK after taking a small loss before birch results.

I think AKK is rejecting acreage buyouts in Burleson County due to it being early days in acreage evaluations. While they're big areas in these counties I believe it's getting chokkas and the acreage price will only appreciate so good work by the company. I believe our 5000 acreage there is between $6500 - $8,500 grand per acre which is conservative and could appreciate later in the year as the tenements are taken up.

    So early days low-ball evaluation = 1.5 x MC & High-ball = 2-3 x MC. That's for only one of our plays.

If the price is right they will sell but I believe a J/V is what they're after to stimulate more permanent cash injection. It smells a lot like GGP but I think the Eagle Ford is far more glamorous\popular than the Permian with the majors at the moment.

    Luck all :)
