maybe a few mini lake argyles from the ord river right down the west coast with a pipeline running 1000km would do the job if only the state government could be pursuaded to invest some of that budject surplus into infrastructure...that would make sense to drought proof the state and support northern industry and agriculture...i believe ernie bridge pushed that idea and was ridiculed for it.
