re: takeovers oil sector. Glad to know you remember Bridge Oil.Every so often the market throws up a "concept" group ,oils appear to be that just now. What is missing is that final upward leg with lots of takeover activity. Other than NVS and TAP's aborted attempt at ARQ(wont they be sick about that now!) we have seen no action on this front.Remember some of these from previous oil share interest Ampol Ex, A Hydrocarbons, Bridge Oil, Command Pet,Crusader,Cultus Pacific,Peko Oil,Petroz,Vamgas,Discovery ect to name a few all were taken over and mostly to foreign companies. We have seen no action on this front yet as the majors usually move in near the top.My possible takeover list is HDR for PPP,thought STO would go for CUE but they seem to have missed the boat,WPL for HDR to name a few ,BPT,TAP ectCVN is an absolute bargain if only they could only get the oil to flow a bit better.Anybody else like to put up some other takeover suggestion on the oils board?
