If you have a look at pg 14 of the AGM notes the stratigraphic column shown mid page suggests the base of Turonian level and commencement of Cenomanian level is at approx 1800 metres. This presentation is only 2 weeks old and one would suggest based on more recent data. It also shows a text box with Primary Target with arrow right smack on 1800-1850. Therefore extrapolating this, the 64 metres of fluorescence highlighted between 1811 and 1875 would put it at the top of the Cenomanian level – exactly where they have always maintained the first potential to be, albeit at a different depth. Taylors24 maybe exactly right.
In addition some further food for thought. The AGM was on 24/11 and the AGM presentation appears to have been modified 23/11 if you look at the document properties. The drilling update released on 28/11 stated that at 2pm on 26/11 the well was at 2024. Therefore, by my calculations it is very possible that the 1811-1875 interval was intersected prior to AGM with fluorescence shows already known by Baraka at time of AGM. Baraka seem to be playing today’s announcement very low key. Maybe they are not worried in the slightest because the actual target intersected 64 metres of hydrocarbons but need to run logs before making a song and dance about it?
