Looking at the volume being traded while it’s moving up compared to the volume traded on the way down might give you some clues.
For example, if it’s moving higher on quite large volume and then drifting downwards on only thin volume then to me this would suggest accumulation of shares .... and vice versa if the opposite is happening.
