Remember there are 3 markets now ASX which you are no I assume, but also the Chi-x which are day only orders and they can jump priority subject to how brokers system allocates, chi-x market is slightly cheaper to settle on so more $ for broker house. and there is the midpoint market that is a Dark Pool.
