Something has definitely happened at Larins Lane, there was a lot of talk at the AGM about the drilling according to @Hateful8 who was present. The first 5 holes went down 90m deep at target 4 instead of the planned 20-25m. The original target depth was about 10m-15m undercover to penetrate some metres of weathered rock to the top of hard bed rock.
Apparently the archean greenstone target rock in the top 90m or so has been impacted by heat and pressure by the parallel granite belts during formation and is so heavily fractured the air core rig went straight through it. In general this an exciting discovery as similar formations elsewhere in the Gold Fields have been high grade Au, but assays will tell the story.
With Golden Grove on the same belt this could be anything!
Obviously it creates an interesting juggling event between where drill bits go and how many holes I’ll be drilled due to the increased number of metres drilled now in each hole and subsequent meters of assays required if this trend continues all the way through target 3 and target 1.
This isn’t unsubstantiated information as I have a recording of the AGM. There was discussion about what could be said but as it was a day or two after drilling and nothing has yet been confirmed by assaying.
