A plan to build a power station to supply grid shortfall in Maasim, Sarangani is gaining traction.

IMO, this is a significant development for Tampakan because it is to be built on the same proposed "industrial park" as that earmarked for the bulk of Tampakan's off-mine infrastructure (port, power, concentrate dewatering, etc). So this Alcantara 210MW plant should act as both a bell-weather and a path-clearer for the Tampakan development.
