For Pluton Resources, the concept of cooperative development is here? and now.
We?re working with the Mayala People of the Kimberley region in Western Australia to define the Irvine Island iron ore deposit. Together, we?re establishing the foundations for an important new mining operation. We?re planning new employment and training programs, business opportunities, community development projects and long term sustainability.
In December 2010, we signed a binding agreement to share the benefits ? and the responsibilities ? of developing a mining project in the Kimberley.
Pluton and Mayala representatives have been invited to talk about our progress and plans to mining industry delegates at the PDAC convention in Canada in March 2011. We?re delighted to be part of the program. Like most of our projects ? this is a task that Pluton?s management and the Mayala community leaders will be tackling together.
