Sorry for the late response,

I was referring to life, tested conditions for output and mainly base load; where one drops the other picks up, but there output can't be turned up when need. Stability comes from batteries at current which have a shorter life, roughly 10 years with the demands being spoken of. Now with time there's hope we can improve the process but as it stands we don't have a better system, so a base load is still need which means anywhere between 40-60% can be supplied from renewables but the other 40-60% for increased load has to come from a base load at our stage in evolution.
