Julia knows she's on a winner and never mind the back-flip. Not doing anything about carbon pricing cost Labor a lot of votes last election and Julia with Green senate support is going to ensure that does not happen again.
Abbott on the other hand is on a loser in opposing this carbon tax and that might be why he is refusing to commit the Coalition to removing it if they were to win government. So really he is just playing politics and opposing for opposings sake. Completely insincere.
