Let me explain that slowly:
44% want the tax so that = 44% for
53% don't want the tax so that = 53% against
You had it the wrong way around...lol. Yes, it's closer than the Herald Sun poll, but still the majority don't agree with this tax. Here's the updated one from the Herald Sun:
"Do you support a price on carbon?
* Yes 15.45% (3,975 votes)
* No 84.55% (21,746 votes)
Total votes: 25,721"
Interesting that the SMH closed their poll early yesterday not giving people much time to respond. However, the Herald Sun poll is still open and has more than twice the participation as SMH.
