All the more sadder is the lie that carbon and carbon dioxide is a pollutant that has to be minimised. From what I've read, the jury is still out on this. Global warming and cooling has been going on since the earth began. Anthropogenic CO2 did not cause that and is very doubtful to be causing the current changes. The minute percentage of global CO2 reduction that "Juliar's" carbon tax will achieve is less than a mere drop in the ocean, instead inflicting more hardship on Australians who can least afford it, while creating yet another inefficient time and resource wasting bureaucratic nightmare.
