This of course changes your viewpoint somewhat to mine as the local politics re carbon tax and assumed abatement liability take on a different meaning.
Of course NASA do amazing work, my argument is not with them but with the fact that their satellite data covers such a tiny time scale but is used by some as if it was the only record to be followed ,there is no historical relevance to their work yet,ie,the time frame is far too short.

Regards the IPPC work, the situation now where quite a number of previous supporting scientists have now put their names to documents rejecting what was claimed as fact, does prove to me that not all is happy in the IPPC camp,as you say -an open mind.

I have stated many a time HC that if the AGW is manmade as claimed then we are all stuffed ,as you could see from Doha nothing is going to be done and the emphasis has already changed,we live in interesting if somewhat frustrating times.
