I don't think so Megafauna as the amount of coal to be used in the next few years is going up exponentially to supply the ever growing demand for energy, plus gas of course and don't forget it is not far behind in the Co2 stakes.
There does not seem to be any credible 2nd choice when it comes to energy,watch America,it will switch straight back into coal if gas prices rise over coal,there is a new wave of manufacturing taking place there as industries return home for the cheap energy,it will sink or swim on cheap energy so what do you think will happen?
