JCoure that is one of the strangest things I have read yet - the awards are global and to follow that line of thinking - if Qantas did own it (becausethey wanted to award themselves something) - then why would they then sell it to Air New Zealand who would then award themselves?? There is nothing I can find - I can't even find a donation to the awards from Qantas or Air New Zealand - nothing shows up in either of their full years from 2009 to present??
I think we can safely say that myth is busted JCoure..
