yeah Zip have said the ANZ business has been profitable for years but we have never seen anything to prove this; other than the word of Larry Diamond and Peter Diamond ; no offence they have said a few things now that didnt turn out to be accurate (Klarna stake, US stock exchange listing to name a few)
the issue is Zip has been so focused at global growth so i dont think its fair of them (i think its misleading) that they say the anz business is profitable but the rest isnt when the rest of world revenues (influding US and UK ) exceeds ANZs revenues
throwing a grenade over the fence here; i wouod have thought Quadpay with its shorter cycles; charging 1 dollar a month per payment and pay off in 4 (like afterpay) meant they had higher margins then the ANZ business, i do recall Quadpay in years previous having higher losses but also higher margins then the ANZ business which doesnt operate on a pay in 4 and slower to recycle their balance sheet
