the biggest risk is government over regulation and green activists putting pressure on management to over invest in non profitable renewable energy. latest AFR interview of CEO gives us insight into the pressure he's facing from the board and shareholders to speed up investment in renewable energy. profits from coal going into renewable instead of dividends or buybacks. if left alone, AGL would do very well in this oligopoly (origin and EA).
