Thanks guys. I hadn't really been following that closely here. Did a quick google on Ghana but missed this. Then seeing AZM was up I discounted a local issue. Maybe their not being a producer let them avoid today's impact althought they were down the day before? The article suggests it's been in the pipeline for a while re talks with miners and IMF recommendations.
Galling how govts around the world (and notably here) justify their tax grabs as benefitting from the rise in commodity prices - as if they are not already doing exactly that with their existing tax rates.
