Around the time Trump was having his first RICO investigation for construction deals with the Mob, Bush's dad (as CIA Director and later VP then POTUS) was starting to support Saddam Hussein and funneling money to the mujaheddin factions in Afghanistan to start a jihad against the Soviets.

By 1992, the time Trump had his first four bankruptcies (Trump Taj Mahal/Castle/Plaza and Casino/Plaza) and ruined many businesses and the lives of many unpaid contractors, the US had funneled as much as $6 billion (1978-1992) to the mujaheddin. Then, while the US teamed up with Pakistan to propagate Islamic extremism in Central Asia, Trump was washed up and had to turn to the Russian mob and oligarchs to launder their money in real estate developments, as US banks wouldn't touch him.

By about 2009, with two more bankruptcies and 15 sexual assault allegations, the Russians owned Trump and Islamic extremism had been well and truly let loose on the world. So yes, some not nice people in recent US history.
