    Hi J8, have been following your informative posts for a while, if I remember rightly you were active back in the old Benitec days.

    I'm no expert. From what I can gather, BIT's USP is having a compound that exposes hidden latent HIV in reservoir cells (about 1 in a million as I understand) and works with ART to delete the last remnants of the virus. That's the ball game.

    According to the various presentations by Sharon Lewin at Doherty (possibly the Biotron killer Institute), there are many, many compounds out there that reverse latency. Biotron certainly doesn't appear to be in a world of its own with the capacity to shock latent cells. Doherty prefer to test HDAC inhibitors and I'm sure SL is very aware of Bit225.

    BIT are one of the runners in theis race, but I too am suspicious of the lack of partnership of any kind to this point.
