Those who have been gloating gleefully over US mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners will no doubt gain a bit of perspective after news of the televised beheading overnight of Nick Berg, a totally innocent [that's TOTALLY innocent] US non-combatant civilian.
I expect the morally indignant anti-US brigade will be flooding talkback, newspaper letter pages and internet forums to express their outrage at this barbaric act.
They ARE outraged ....................aren't they?
That is, of course, if they aren't too busy flapping around in circles with one left wing.
Let's say the US captured the hooded goons responsible. Does anyone REALLY care if they did their best S&M impressions, complete with whip, saddles and spurs? I suspect not, as long as it isn't photographed. Rather puts things into perspective, doesn't it?
