I'm somewhat perplexed. CE is a competent person that can sign off on JORC announcement. Why is there a need for an independent to assess and provide the report to CE / HCH.
If there was a difference of opinion on the quality of assay information, then it is surely up to CE to make the final call and stick his reputation on it. Unless the data set is completely not verifiable eg. some crucial drillholes.
It is up to the interested parties to do their own assessment of the data set and to rely on their own people. Surely, they will not be relying on an independent. Just my take on this delay.
In the meantime, everyone is growing tired of the lack of updates...
