Based on the hostile response by BHP and Newcrest when SolGold entered into a $150m royalty deal back in 2020, I would expect Glencore or any other potential suitors would likely play their hand prior to any deal being signed.

As i've said a few times, it makes little sense from a major miners point of view to allow HCH to change their name or enter into a royalty or streaming deal, when they have their own internal balance sheet to fund directly. It will obviously come down to how acceptable the JV terms or takeover/bidding war is to CE and the HCH Board which direction this will take.
