Did anyone catch the news about Ivanhoe's maiden copper resource for its Makoko and Kiala deposits in the DRC?
"The company said that Makoko contains indicated mineral resource of 16 million tonnes at 3.55% copper plus inferred mineral resource of 154 million tonnes at 1.97% copper using a 1.5% copper cut-off, adding that Kiala contains indicated mineral resource of 5 million tonnes at 3.56% copper using a 1.5% copper cut-off."
Read that and weep HCH holders!
Robert Friedland and Ivanhoe are probably capable of handling the sovereign risk of doing business in the DRC. I would back him. I might buy some IVN when the cycle looks to have turned.
