Atm you can't even buy other assets with cryptocurrency you can't buy a house you can't do your shopping you can't buy gold or silver. You need to cash out of cryptocurrency into fiat then spend the capital gain. And that's all cryptocurrency is a means to make a capital gain and convert it to fiat to realise that gain. If your exchange or your wallet doesn't get hacked in the process.
