In my opinion it's likely just sterilisation drilling, an expensive but necessary component of mine design as geometallurgical / engineering teams need to know rock characteristics / competency surrounding an orebody which determines how steep pit walls etc can be, essential to work our how much overburden needs to be removed which leads into finalising PFS numbers. Would be good if HCH could simply state / clarify this rather than make it look as though they're doing active exploration.
