The copper mine (UG only) is planned to close in 2026 this month nothing has changed there. was announced years ago. what is being discussed right now is the copper smelter as the colapse in TC/RCs makes it unveiable to smelt and just send concentrate. The Isasmelt rebrick is due next year. The last rebrick the Qld Giv chipped in 20mil or so for it. The Smelter and conctrator was marked for closure in 2030.
