The billions of dollars that have been spent of a relative few people is disgraceful
Throwing money at a problem has never fixed anything
We all know how to fix the problem but the Libs and Labor are scared stiff to even suggest it.
They just don't have to guts to do what is required, just look at the furore that erupted when Abbot said he would not finance service facilities at little settlements in the back of beyond
Imagine what would happen if they told the aboriginal population that all monies were to be withdrawn, no more payments or mining grants and they were all to go into prescribed villages and be under the control of a committee of educated, practical whites and they all had to be educated and go through "re-education" programs and when they graduate they would be able to join the rest of the population on a parole
A program like this would see a useful indigenous population that could then resume their rightful place in society as long as we give them money so they can drink and sit down, the vast majority of them will be a waste of space and a blot on Australia
There are of course quite a few "whites" that would also qualify for re-education
