Lets start with Tasmania.

For the past 10 years many other States around Australia have benefited from Billions and Billions of Dollars worth of Infrastructure Projects which in turn Stimulates their economies.

Tasmania receives 3-4-5 million for the odd project here and there. Their only main project that was funded in 2009 was the Brighton Bypass and they built a new Transport Hub for Toll in 2009 to the total cost of $179 mill. The Federal Rd's were so dangerous and full of pot holes this should of been done at least 10 years ago. And Kingston, a suburb out of Hobart got about 20 Mill for Rd works that were promised in the early 90's. That's it. For over 10 years!! When wilkie got the upper hand last election, Abbott promised him $1billion for a new hospital which they desperately need and Gillard promised $400 odd million to renovate the existing Asbestos ridden Rabbit hole. Wilkie took Gillards offer. This was over 3 years ago. The only money spent to date is $21 million on consultants fees and none of them who a small % are located in Tasmania have been paid anything since Dec 2012. They have all stopped work now and threatening to sue the Gov until they are paid!

Tasmania has the worst Rds and Highways in Australia.

Unemployment is now way over 8% and that figure is only the participation rates. Majority of people are now employed part time. What does this do to spending?? Well no one is certain of their jobs future so spending contracts even more. Myer burn't down in the middle of the CBD nearly a decade ago. It was owned by Centro and Tasmanian Gov Owned RBF. They collected the $20mill insurance money and offloaded it. A Local developer has bought it and all he finds is trouble after trouble to get it approved and ready to go. Tas Water recently try to hand him a bill of $750k to upgrade the sewer. Archaeology dug up some bottles and Charged him $500k and that's not even the holding costs. It still hasn't started. I wouldn't be surprised if the Banks don't want to finance a project so large in Tasmania's current climate. Now, the State Gov should of built this immediately instead of cashing in and leaving a hole in the ground for nearly a decade in such a small CBD which relied on Myer bringing traffic flow. The other retailers are all nearly finished!
But Tassie Labor Gov is used to pulling off Swindles. They sucked Macquarie Bank In.
The Airport was forsale. It's true value was around $150mill. Some how the Tassie Gov Owned RBF managed to suck in Macquarie Bank to buy it 50/50 for $350 mill. The other closest offer was $107mill. All ok for the RBF as it comes out of one pocket and in to another for the Gov. Real value would be $120mill right now IMO.

This is Labor Management. Now that the Greens have been involved. Nothing has happened. House prices have been going backwards since 2007/8, and still falling.

There have been at least 6 quarters of negative growth and if there were any quarters in the past 5 years of growth the managed to fudge the books some how.

What is happening currently in Tasmania is a National Disgrace. Lucky a single individual has kept tourism up a little over the past 3 years thanks to a Professional Gambler and his Group who invested over $100million in a new Museum MONA which has caught International attention. After that, the Labor Gov after years advising them that their group was Tax exempt tried to back Charge them Taxes to 2004 and charge them a $950million tax bill. That nearly sent Mona into the Derwent River. You see they tries to tax them for their winning but they couldn't claim their losses as it set a precedent for all of us mere punters who lose on Mlb Cup Day.

I can go on and on and on. Forget the past recessions. This has been going on for over 5 years and is compounding.
Peoples and Business's buffers are all but depleted. Crime and armed hold ups have hit an all time high. That means there are bad debt's out there. If they are not paid, knee's get smashed. So armed hold up and Burglaries are rife. No one can get loans as their job's are par time and sporadic. Federal group who runs the Casino's and some assorted dilapidated hotels used to employ over 1000 staff Tasmania wide. They now employ 320 and falling.

Why does Tasmania not get Gov or Corporate office's to locate to Hobart?? Why is everything in ACT, Melb, Syd, Qld, etc, etc.

Gillard came to Hobart 2 years ago and offered $4 mill for a Vodaphone call center to create new jobs. Nothing Yet!


Not Helping the economy now so that Liberal inherits a basket case that cannot be turned around in 3 years so that they can win some seats back after their white was is Unbelievable.
