Franking credits are NOT gone.
Labor proposes to eliminate cash refunds of franking credits where taxable income is zero or less than the franking credit value. In my view, this is theft. Franking credits attach to company tax paid to the ATO, and belong to the shareholders, not the ATO.
The 45% renewables target is the one that Morrison can win an election on, if he can convince the electorate to become interested in something as far out as 2030. Might be a big ask. He is a marketing guy. So they need to start work on that part of the campaign. They can't just rant about it with stupid slogans like Abbott would. They need a way of getting people to actually think.
There is light at the end of the tunnel (pun intended).
