Lynas nor it's material is not getting any money out of this, so just lets not be all over the shop and out right misleading. Their material does not attract subsidies, it attracts buyers. If the bill is passed, it magnet manufacturers maybe attracted by the proposed subsidy to set up in the US and to buy Lynas materials.

It's a challenge for all of us, me included to be as clear as we can so everyone, newbies and not so newbies can get a clear picture of what's going on. Aren't we hear to share ideas and learn?

It is just a bill and that's all at this point. The US does plan to create the whole supply chain from mine to magnet to product (China free). How they go about it and be competitive with China (level playing field) hasn't been decided yet. The processing (Lynas) and magnet manufacture are the missing bits at the mo. Lynas has first mover advantage with processing but the magnet manufacturing in the US is the other critical piece. I'm not sure how Lynas can go ahead setting up a processing plant without a market (magnet manufacturers) in the US.
