Billabong wraps up talks with Paul Naude on cut-price takeover


THE fate of beleaguered surf, skate and skiwear group Billabong is expected to be unveiled tomorrow as the company wraps up negotiations with the former head of its US division over a proposed takeover deal.

This month Billabong announced it would give 10 days' exclusive access to accountants employed by Paul Naude and his US private equity backer Sycamore Partners to confirm the bidder's assessment of Billabong's earnings.
